Derry Airport was used as a military airport initially suggest during world war ii. Back inside the 1930s into 1940s the beds base was called Eglinton. Once the war ended Eglinton was in the past again returned to civilian use. Some thirty years after the was ended the base was changed into a flying club and school. These were both introduced in the 1970s and are still used by a lot of passengers on the market now.
